The GCI Power Tools Agent is a module that allows multiple workflow agents to be run for the same Livelink instance. Standard Livelink only allows for a single workflow agent to run against a single Livelink instance. Under heavy workflow usage, with many steps using the workflow agent for their processing, bottlenecks can occur when the agent falls behind performing time consuming tasks. The GCI Power Tools Agent provides the ability to configure multiple workflow agents to run, each performing separate functions if desired. Multiple agents can run on each server pointing to a single Livelink instance. In a clustered environment, the module provides the ability to run multiple agents on each server in the cluster, thus removing the possibility of workflow agent bottlenecks. The GCI Power Tools Agent is required for GCI Power Tools for Workflow, and is included in the price of PTW. Conversely, when the Agent is purchased prior to the purchase of PTW (for performance reasons), full credit is given toward the purchase of PTW if purchased within one year of purchasing the Agent. |
