Global Cents co-founder and CEO Ed Kriege announces retirement

February 15, 2016, Chicago, IL – Global Cents (GCI Live LLC) today announced that Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Ed Kriege will retire effective March 1st after more than 10 years leading the premier provider of value-added Information Lifecycle Management products and services for the OpenText Content Suite.

“It has been my great pleasure to build a highly successful company with many great colleagues, partners and customers, all of whom have been crucial to the success of Global Cents”, Ed said. “I’m confident that, after our best year ever in 2015, the company is in the right hands for executing our long-term plans for greater growth, more products and solutions, and even higher customer satisfaction.”

Ed will be succeeded in his role by Tom Lilly, who will now become President & CEO, with Jeff Lang continuing in his position of Chief Technology Officer.

Tom Lilly said, “Ed has worked tirelessly for the past 10 years to make Global Cents a leader in this space. He has dedicated over 30 years of his life working on software products and solutions to help people and businesses get their jobs done more easily and more efficiently. Together with our staff, partners and customers, the goal at Global Cents is to continue this legacy.”

“Having personally worked with Ed for over 25 years, it will be sad to see him go,” said Jeff Lang, “but we have a great road ahead of us with exciting new products for the regulated industries coming online shortly. And our relationship with OpenText is stronger than ever. I look forward to continuing to work closely with our customers and partners on new and exciting ways to extend Content Suite functionality and organizational value. I wish Ed all the best as he starts his next adventure.”

Prior to founding Global Cents Ed was Director of Application Architecture with OpenText Corporation for 8 years, and he performed many roles within Odesta Corporation and Odesta Systems for 12 years prior to its acquisition by OpenText in 1995. Ed will continue in an advisory capacity with Global Cents.

Global Cents will continue to develop solutions based around its core Content Suite competencies and regulated industries SME as it further strengthens its relationship with OpenText Corporation.
